What's Next in Education?
An Update from the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education

Hosts: GGA and the Education Philanthropic Collaborative
When:
 Wednesday, March 21, 11:30am-1:00pm (ET)

Location: The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation
3223 Howell Mill Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30327

Dr. Dana Rickman, Policy and Research Director for the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education (GPEE), will discuss and answer questions about EdQuest Georgia, a Goizueta Foundation-funded policy framework that serves as a blueprint for improving public education in Georgia. This project was designed to help stakeholders understand the many moving parts of the education system and to point out where Georgia’s system is strong and what parts need work. Based in best practice research, EdQuest highlights seven core policy areas that are common across high-performing states and countries.

As the primary author of GPEE's annual Top Ten Issues to Watch report, Dana will also reflect on what has transpired in the Georgia legislature to that point and what will continue to dominate the legislative discourse in education policy.
