An SECF Public Policy Webinar:
Government Request for Information on
Private Foundation Use of Donor-Advised Funds

Wednesday, February 21, 2018 · 2:00pm – 2:30pm (ET)

Between now and March 5, the Treasury Department is seeking comments from private foundations on their use of donor-advised funds. These comments may end up influencing future proposed regulations on DAFs, making it important that funders are heard now. On Wednesday, February 21, SECF will host a webinar to brief members on this request for information and what foundations can do in response.

Joining us will be Sandra Swirski, a partner at the Washington advocacy firm Urban Swirski & Associates, who has consulted SECF on public policy for the past year. If your private foundation uses donor-advised funds in its work, you won’t want to miss this presentation.

Note: This webinar is focused on one issue addressed in Section 6 of this IRS notice. The discussion will be limited to the request for information on the use of donor-advised funds by private foundations. Other issues mentioned in that notice will not be discussed; please contact the SECF staff if you have questions about these issues.
