2018 Family Foundations Forum
June 13–15, 2018 · Omni Grove Park Inn · Asheville, NC

Immediately follows the NCFP/SECF 2018 Courage to Lead Retreat

A family foundation is so much more than a tool for charitable giving. It’s an expression of your family’s legacy, of its connection to place and of the traditions that bring together generation after generation around a shared purpose.

Each of these aspects of family philanthropy – and beyond – will guide the agenda for SECF’s 2018 Family Foundations Forum. Our theme, Family Matters: Investing in the Future of the South, illustrates how family foundations are tied to both deeply personal relationships and also the future of our region.

At the Family Foundations Forum, family members and staff come together to learn from not only each other, but also national experts and thought leaders, on a range of issues that includes next-gen philanthropy, impact investing, place-based giving and collaboration – with other funders and outside the sector.

SECF has partnered with leaders in the sector, including Exponent Philanthropy and the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP), to create a rich agenda that will educate and inspire.

Plus, the 2018 Family Foundations Forum takes place immediately after NCFP’s Courage to Lead Retreat – if you’re a family foundation CEO or trustee, this is an unprecedented opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the country, before focusing in on the family philanthropy landscape in the Southeast.
