An SECF Member Webinar:
Fall Legislative Update

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 • 2:00pm–3:00pm (ET)

Learn the latest on tax reform and
other policy issues affecting philanthropy

News continues to come out of Washington at a break-neck pace – but what affect does it have on issues important to grantmakers? In this webinar, we’ll help you separate the signal from the noise and discuss the legislative issues that could affect philanthropy for years to come. In particular, we’ll focus on the tax reform proposals circulating around the Capitol, how they would affect charitable giving, and their prospects for becoming law.

The discussion will be led by Sandra Swirski, co-partner of the bipartisan advocacy firm Urban Swirski & Associates. One of Washington’s top tax lobbyists, Sandra also worked on the staff of the Senate Finance Committee and is a recognized expert on tax policy and the charitable sector.

Webinar participants will be able to discuss their public policy questions with Sandra while also sharing ideas with other grantmakers for how to best defend and promote the work done by Southern Philanthropy. We hope you can join us!
