Georgia Grantmakers Alliance 2017 Annual Meeting
Friday, September 08, 2017, 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM EST
Category: Events

When: Friday, September 8, 2017 • 8:30am – 3:15pm
Location: Cox Enterprises Conference Center
6305 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342

For decades, society treated mental health as a separate – and often lesser – priority, set off entirely from the rest of the health care landscape. Today, the tide is finally turning, and mental health is viewed as a crucial aspect of the development of our children and young adults.

However, much work remains to be done – stigmas still remain and treatment options are still limited. Grantmakers in Georgia have a role to play in ensuring all of our infants, children and adolescents have access to quality mental health care. At this year’s Annual Meeting, the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance will explore this issue in depth.

Our 2017 Annual Meeting, State of Mind: Child Mental Health in Georgia – 0–25, will put grantmakers in the same room with experts on mental health and child development. Join us Friday, September 8, for a day devoted to our children and their well-being. Register today and you’ll experience:

  • Real stories from real people coping with the effects of mental illness
  • Expert insight from the worlds of medicine, government, counseling
    and child development
  • Examples of how other states and communities have tackled this issue –
and how their work can be applied to Georgia
  • Stories of philanthropy’s power to help children with mental health issues
    and those who assist them

We hope you can join us for a day that will educate, enlighten and inspire – all while allowing you time to connect with fellow grantmakers concerned about our state’s children. Register today!
