The Southeastern Council of Foundations presents:
Getting to Know SECF

Thursday, June 1, 2017 • 2:00pm–3:00pm (ET)

Your introduction to a
grantmaker network like no other

Last year, the Southeastern Council of Foundations celebrated an unprecedented achievement – a 96 percent member retention rate.

That number is no accident: SECF delivers an incredible value to foundations active in the American South. The SECF network is a continuous source of connections, leadership development, education and innovation, all placed within a regional and cultural context.

On Thursday, June 1, we’d like to offer you the chance to learn more about SECF and why so many foundations – and their trustees and staff – consider SECF their “philanthropic family.” If you’re new to SECF, or considering joining, this is your chance to learn:

  • How SECF connects, engages and inspires Southern grantmakers
  • What makes SECF different, and so very vital to our work and our region
  • How SECF’s suite of events, programs and other offerings can boost the impact of your grantmaking
  • How SECF can support you and your work in the years ahead

You’ll also hear from leading figures and rising stars in the world of Southern Philanthropy, including:

  • Janine Lee, SECF’s president and CEO, and other members of the SECF staff
  • Bob Fockler, president of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis
  • Dr. Stephanie Cooper-Lewter, vice president of initiatives and public policy at the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina
Join us Thursday, June 1, at 2:00pm Eastern for a special webinar: Getting to Know SECF – your opportunity to start building a relationship with a group of grantmakers committed to each other, to philanthropy, and to the American South.

The Southeastern Council of Foundations strives to support Members and grantmakers with access to education, resources and networking by serving as a convener and facilitator, offering a diverse range of voices and perspectives. We do not endorse colleague organization views, but rather aim to provide access to a broad range of information and resources to increase grantmaking impact and develop philanthropic leaders throughout the region.
