SECF’s Federal Policy Luncheon
Learn the latest on tax reform – and what you can do about it

When: Tuesday, April 18 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Where: The Commerce Club 191 Peachtree St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30303 (49th Floor)

Tax reform is one of the top legislative priorities for leaders in Congress – and grantmakers like you are paying close attention, wondering how this legislation could affect charitable giving and endowed philanthropy.

At times like these, you need the latest legislative intelligence from people who are plugged into the action in Washington. Today, SECF is announcing a new program that will deliver the information you need from the people who know best.

On Tuesday, April 18, SECF will host a Federal Policy Luncheon in Atlanta. Register today so you can join us and learn:

  • The latest on efforts to pass tax reform and other key issues in Congress
  • How proposed legislation would affect grantmaking and endowments
  • What you can do right now to promote and defend your work
  • How to set up in-district meetings with lawmakers – and deliver your message effectively

We’ll be joined by Sandra Swirski, executive director of the Alliance for Charitable Reform, which has worked with lawmakers for years to educate them on the importance of philanthropy to American society while defending against proposals that would diminish our field’s effectiveness. Sandra, a tax lawyer, was a senior Congressional aide for two of the most prominent Republicans to serve on the Senate Finance Committee—Senator Jack Danforth (R-MO) and Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY).

We are excited to give Atlanta-area grantmakers the chance to learn the latest legislative intelligence from one of the nation’s leading advocates for philanthropy.
