Registration is now open for the Grantmakers of Kentucky’s 8th Annual Meeting in Bowling Green! 

Join us August 1–2 for two days focused on education, youth development and other issues central to the future of the commonwealth. Through site visits, speakers and sessions, you’ll learn about innovative projects and initiatives that are helping children and families succeed, while also examining the challenges that remain. We’ll talk about what philanthropy is doing today – and what it needs to do going forward.

At the center of this year’s Annual Meeting will be our main venue, The Gatton Academy, a residential program for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interest in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Housed on the campus of Western Kentucky University, students take college classes, engage in faculty-led research, and have the ability to study abroad.

This year’s Annual Meeting will also deliver critical updates on public policy at both the federal and state levels and provide you the opportunity to learn more about the commonwealth’s third-largest city and all of south central Kentucky.

Event Details:

When: August 1–2, 2018 

Where: Sessions on the second day will be held at The Gatton Academy on the campus of Western Kentucky University. (1906 College Heights Blvd. #71031, Bowling Green, KY 42101) 

Cost: $125/member | $150/nonmember

Hotel: We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Place Bowling Green, only a short walk away from The Gatton Academy. To book a room at the discounted Grantmakers of Kentucky rate:

  1. Click here to go to the hotel website.
  2. Select July 31 for check-in and August 2 for check-out.
  3. Click the plus sign next to “Special Rates” and select “Corporate or Group Code.”
  4. Enter G-GRNT in the box that appears.
  5. Click “Check Availability” – from here, proceed to booking your room. 
  6. The last day to reserve your room(s) is June 30, 2018

Schedule: The first day of the Annual Meeting will begin around lunchtime on Wednesday, August 1. Following site visits, we will return to the hotel briefly before an evening reception. The second day of the meeting will begin with breakfast at 8:00am, with programming starting at 8:30am. Lunch will be provided. The meeting will conclude around 3:00pm.
